Here are the rules for the NEW Beach Paddle Tennis Tour:
Unlike in Paddle Tennis or Beach Tennis, Beach Paddle Tennis is also played in singles and not only in doubles or mixed tournaments.
The other big difference is, that Beach Paddle Tennis is played without a net. This makes the game much faster and exciting for the players, but also for the spectators.
And of course, like this, it is very easy to set up and start playing!
Tactics:
Beach Paddle Tennis is an extremely fast and athletic game.
Beacause it is played without a net and the small court size, most of the points are decided by the speed of the shots.
Just like in double it is important to keep the balls fast and low to not allow the opponent to kill the volleys from up to down.
To make the court even more narrow for the opponent it is important to keep closing in to the opponents court. So the further the points progress, the closer the players come to each other.
But even with this short court, it is possible to play lobs. So, you have to be carefull not to come too close to the others court!
On serving it is also a very good option to play lobs and not only play the low power serves. This keeps the opponent guessing and off balance.
Besides good footwork, court covarage and fast reactions, it is very important to anticipate the other players shots well.
But the best thing is to get out and play and find your own tactics! ;)
